Marco Canora’s cozy Italian spot Hearth will be donating 50 percent of their gross revenue from sales on Tuesday, January 19, to relief efforts. The restaurant fired off a touching e-mail in support of one of their Haitian staffers—definitely a worthwhile place to donate your charitable dining dollars.

New York restaurateurs have a reputation for being tough, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have hearts. Damien Brassel of the LES’s Knife + Fork and Philippe Massoud of Lebanese eatery Ilili will be donating a portion of their profits to help Haitian earthquake recovery efforts. Brassel will give 20 percent of every tab on Wednesday, January 20, while Ilili will donate 10 percent of proceeds to relief efforts on Sunday the 24th. Massoud is also encouraging his staff to donate 5 percent of their gratuities, and has contacted restaurants and PR firms across the city in the hopes of getting them to join in as well.
